How does a Magnetic Catch Work?
A magnetic catch works by combining a metal plate with a magnetic catch. This creates a secure fastening on the inside of the door between the front and back of the cupboard.
What are Magnetic Catches Used for?
Magnetic catches are a great way to provide secure and hidden storage, holding cupboard and cabinet doors closed. They remove the need for hinges by giving hidden access points attached to each of the different kitchen cupboards and sturdily joining together. They are a cost-effective way of keeping doors and panels safely closed in place.
Magnetic catches can also be much easier than having the hassle of fitting hinges to the door. This is especially useful when it comes to needing good access to pipework, water stop cocks and more. The door panel can be easily pulled from the bottom, coming off in one piece – very handy when engineering and maintenance work needs to be completed without door restriction.
The more magnetic catches that are used on a door, the stronger and more reinforced it will be. The magnetic door catch can also be positioned in different ways to make it easier or harder to open the door depending on the use and what it is covering.
